In addition to CIS’s ongoing work over the years—drafting comprehensive policy proposals for political and defense leadership, meeting with decision-makers, youth educational outreach, and more—the latest challenges have led us to focus our efforts on two critical fronts in the months ahead:
FIELD ENGAGEMENT
CIS teams conduct weekly missions into areas of escalating friction in the West Bank, bringing senior decision-makers, journalists, diplomats, and public leaders face-to-face with conditions on the ground. Members engage directly with IDF commanders and security officials to promote accountability, restraint, and the rule of law – while documenting and exposing developments that threaten Israel’s security and democratic character.
This field activity is carried out on three levels:
- West Bank Missions (small-group) for Opinion Leaders
- West Bank Guided Group Bus Mission
- Emergency Quick Deployment Teams
PUBLIC DISCOURSE AND LEGAL ACTION
CIS has become one of the leading security voices in Israeli public life, through thousands of media appearances, interviews, op-eds, public briefings, conversations with gap-year youth, and an active social media presence. We pursue legal initiatives – including petitions to the Supreme Court – and support civic action, all aimed at preventing irreversible damage to Israel’s security.
